Obituary

Watson, Mark Arnold

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Arnold Watson who passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at his home at the age of 61. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Rhonda, loving son Jeremy, his little canine buddy Habs, his father Norman Watson, sister Wendy (Tim), brothers Rick (Jane) and Danny (Patsy) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mark is predeceased by his mother Ruth. Mark grew up in Haileybury, he moved to Elliot Lake to play hockey with the Elliot Lake Vikings. Mark was an avid sportsman; hockey, golf, pool, fishing to name a few of his favorite past times. In Elliot Lake, he met the love of his life Rhonda and they were married in May of 1982. Mark and Rhonda made a lot of great memories together. Their greatest accomplishment was the creation and raising of their only child, the apple of their eye, Jeremy. Mark will be sorely missed by Rhonda, Jeremy, Habs, his family, friends and co-workers. Rest in peace dear husband, father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle and brother-in-law. We will love you forever, like you for always as long as we’re living, in our hearts you will be!
A celebration of life will be held for Mark on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 at the Lively Golf Club commencing at 1:00 p.m. The family request that you join them for a formal celebration of life service from 1:30 to 2:30 followed by a mix and mingle. Very saddened to hear about this - our thoughts and prayers are with you Rhonda and Jeremy. As our next door neighbours growing up in Elliot Lake, you and Mark both had a profoundly positive effect on my childhood. I regret not keeping in touch. Jamie Morin and family.

Our hearts ache for you Rhonda and your entire family. We are so sorry to hear of Marks passing. Mark was a friendly face in the neighborhood. He always stopped for a chat and freely gave of his smile. During this very difficult time may you and your family find comfort in your cherished memories. The sun set on his legacy far too soon. Dear Rhonda and Jeremy, I was so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was a good friend and I shared many great times with him on the golf course. He was always a man of great character and just someone you wanted to be around. I still can't believe he is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time!
