Click here to view all obituariesI remember a crystal clear night at Camp Manitou many summers ago. Robert and Dorothy and Sharon Hill and I were out on the front steps with Robert's amazing telescope. He had a facility with focus that just thrilled us....we saw stars and planets and constellation wed never really seen before. The conversation was full of jokes and fun, and also words of how creative and generous our God was in giving us such a beautiful canopy as just part of the universe. The Old Lamplighter poem speaks about how wonderful it was for little eyes peering through frosty frigid windows to see the man come along to light the standing torches and thereby punch some holes in the darkness. Robert was like that. There is a whole lot of light in the lives of people because he shared his life and his ministry with them, and a whole lot less darkness as well. Well-done, my friend! Love to you and all your family Dorothy. submitted by Rev. Judie Cooper, Muskoka.
