Gerry Lougheed Jr., President and Managing Director

Gerry is a native Sudburian. He was the chair of the former regulatory Board of Funeral Services for the province of Ontario. He has spoken at many funeral conferences and workshops, being the first Canadian to be the keynote speaker for the National Funeral Directors of America Annual Convention in Philadelphia. Gerry has been very active in our community. He founded the Northern Cancer Foundation, the Bereavement Foundation of Sudbury, the Finlandia Village SISU Foundation, the Sudbury Hospice Foundation, the St. Joseph’s Foundation and the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers. He is past chair of local hospital boards, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Board, he served as the vice chair of Cancer Care Ontario and the is founding director of the Northern Ontario Medical School. He is the recipient of two honourary doctorates, the Order of Ontario and the Order of the Red Lion from Finland, a fellow to the Finnish Institute of Canada. He has chaired numerous capital and annual campaigns to enhance the quality of life of others. Gerry has been a motivational speaker throughout North America, speaking on the empowerment of the individual. He enjoys walking, travelling and cycling. Gerry believes that with a thinking head, working hands and a feeling heart we make a difference and feel good about who we are and what we do.

Geoffrey Lougheed, Funeral Director

Geoffrey Lougheed continues the Lougheed legacy of dedication and service. He graduated as School President from St. Charles College in 1977, and graduated from Funeral Service Education at Humber College with honours as the top overall student in Ontario in 1978. Since graduating, he has worked with Lougheed's Limited, currently serving as Vice President of Operations.

Colette Blais Lougheed, Funeral Director

Colette is married to Geoffrey and is a native Sudburian who graduated from Ecole Secondaire MacDonald Cartier in 1977, and from Humber College of Applied Arts in Funeral Services Program in 1980.  She worked as a licensed Funeral Director at Co-Operative Funeral Home from 1979 to 1985, and since 1985 has been a licensed Funeral Director with the Lougheed and Jackson and Barnard Funeral Homes.  Colette is a lifetime member of St. Jean de Brébeuf Church.
Colette is a past member of the Club Richelieu Feminin de Sudbury, a lecturer, educator, and facilitator of Funeral Services in the Sudbury Community, a board member of the Sudbury-Manitoulin Childrens Foundation, and currently sits on the Advisory Board of  Collège Boréal's Formation en Services Funéraires.  Colette has been a Licensed Practical Examiner for the Board of Funeral Services in Ontario.

Colette (née Blais) Lougheed est née et a grandi dans le quartier du Moulin à Fleur à Sudbury. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l'Ecole secondaire MacDonald-Cartier, elle a étudié au Humber College, à Toronto où elle a complété son éducation en services funéraires. Mariée à Geoffrey Lougheed depuis plus de 20 ans, elle est directrice de funérailles autorisée depuis une trentaine d'années, mettant son expertise au service des personnes endeuillées. Colette est gérante du Salon Funéraire Lougheed Chapelle Hanmer/Capreol.

Catherine Coe, Funeral Director

Catherine was born and raised in Sudbury.  After graduation from Lockerby High School, she attended Humber College where she obtained her Funeral Director's License. She is currently on the Board of Regents for Huntington University and the Board of Directors for the Inner City Home. She is a Past member of the  Grief and Support Committee for the Maison Vale Hospice (now Maison McCulloch Hospice), Past President of the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers, Past President of the Northeastern Ontario Funeral Association, Past Board Chair for Special Events for the Sudbury Theatre Centre, Past Director of the SPCA Advisory Board, member of the Animal Care Review Board of Ontario and a former member of the Business & Professional Women's Group. Catherine has been with Lougheed's since 1991.

Marie Marcotte, Funeral Director

Marie was born and raised in Sudbury.  She attended Collège Boréal and graduated in 2006.  She and her partner, Kevin, are the proud parents of two wonderful boys.  Marie enjoys fishing, swimming, reading, and being with her family.

Née à Sudbury Marie est diplomée du programme de Formation en services funéraires du Collège Boréal. Elle travaille pour la famille Lougheed depuis 2007.

Renée Schilkie was born and raised in Chelmsford graduating from E.S.C Champlain High School and attending Collège Boréal in the Funeral Services Program, graduating in 2006. She married her husband Jordan in 2007 who is also from Chelmsford after working 3 years in Ottawa for Kelly Funeral Home, she moved back home to start a family; a beautiful baby girl Alexis born in 2008 and a son Jared born in 2014 and started working for the Lougheed Family in May of 2009. Renée has been a professor at Boreal College since 2010, teaching the Funeral Service Program (Formation en Service Funéraire). Renée enjoys spending time with family & friends, reading, travelling, golfing and fishing.

Jeff was born and raised in Sudbury and attended Humber College in 2010 after graduating from Lockerby Composite Secondary School. He decided to return to Sudbury to start his internship in May of 2011 after being at the Funeral Home since 2009. Jeff is happy to be back home and he enjoys spending time with his spouse Sarah, spending time with his family, playing sports, listening to music, giving back to the Community and is a huge Hamilton Tiger Cats fan.

Jeff is the past President of the Rotaract Club of Sudbury, current President of the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers, executive member of the Joe MacDonald Youth Football League Member, serves dinner at the Elgin Street Mission and was a dancer  in the 2016 Dancing With The Easter Seals Stars.

Jeff has a real passion for sports and was the Running Backs Coach with the Sudbury Gladiator’s Varsity Football Team. Jeff was the recipient of the Northeastern Ontario Funeral Service Association Award for the Highest Overall Average among Funeral Directors in Northern Ontario and a Sudbury 40under 40 Award Winner.

Katie was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. During high school she did a co-op placement and worked at the Arthur Funeral Home. In 2009 she attended Humber College and obtained her funeral directors license in 2011. She worked for 3 years at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home in Toronto. In 2013, she moved to Sudbury and joined our team. She is a member of All People's United Church and a past board member of the Education Committee for the Board of Funeral Services and NESPN. She was a celebrity dancer for Dancing With The Easter Seals Star in February 2024. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, yoga, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
