It is wise for a surviving spouse immediately after a death not to radically alter his or her lifestyle. Attempt to keep the surroundings normal and natural for a period of time. In other words, if possible do not sell the house or move, but try and keep a stable atmosphere for about one year or so. This will allow time for the grieving process before you continue your life perhaps into other areas.
