Monuments (Memorial Marker)

Psychologists tell us it is important to have a place to visit following the funeral. This may be found in the traditional cemetery or through cremation in non-traditional places such as a lake or camp.  It is natural for many people to wish for a monument to be placed as a lasting memorial.  A few suggestions when choosing a monument dealer:

1)  Be extremely cautious of mail solicitation.

2)  Normally it is good to allow the land to settle for a time after the burial - this will make a better foundation.

3)  Do not be afraid to shop - as with the same merchandise, the price can vary.

4)  Deal with a reputable dealer, someone who backs up his workmanship and provides a written guarantee.

5)  If the monument is already in place, then call the dealer who installed it to have the date added.
