Obituaries & Tributes

It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.

Order Flowers

Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.

Pre-Arrangement

A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.

Acknowledgements

The custom of placing a "thank you" in the local newspaper is sitll available, however we have found most people prefer a more personal card or letter sent directly to them or their office (ie. doctors, nurses, pastoral workers, palliative care workers, clergy or helping groups like a legion or lodge).

If you wish to place a "thank you" in the newspaper, you may do so by contacting the newspaper directly.  Locally the Sudbury Star, Classified Dept. at 674-5271 or to the Northern Life, Classified Dept. at 673-5667.  The newspapers have a file of examples.

It is usual to send a thank you to:

  • anyone who sent flowers, memorial donations or mass cards
  • anyone who sent food to the house.
  • anyone who was particularly helpful during the funeral process
  • pallbearers.

** It is NOT customary to send a card to EVERYONE who attended the funeral, has signed  the guest book or sent a sympathy card.
