at
Health Sciences North after a brief illness.
Born in Weisskirchlitz, Germany on September 15th, 1937, Harry and his parents Karl and Mary (both predeceased) fled war torn Europe to Canada eventually settling in Sudbury.
Harry retired from INCO where he was valued for his many skills (pilot/navigator) in the Exploration Department. A very organized man with a keen memory, Harry had endless stories from a colorful past. He was a private man with strict personal schedules and routines.
Harry loved dogs and leaves behind his rescued dog Chinook. He will be missed by his many friends and neighbours, the Pernu and Turcotte families, his cousin Ralph Schmidt and cousins in Europe.
At Harry’s request there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made to PetSave, Wild at Heart Wildlife Refuge Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Red Cross. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
