Glena Marie Cunningham
September 8th, 1946 – November 23rd, 2014 passed away at the Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury.
Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late, William Burton Cunningham predeceased and Marie Gladys Brightman Cunningham residing in Sudbury.
Glena was a family person who loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She will be sadly missed by all. Survived by her husband Norman Proulx and daughter: Sheila Proulx, husband Carter Elsasser of Sudbury, her sons Kenneth Proulx, fiancé Christina of Fort McMurry, Alberta, Patrick Proulx wife, Jennifer Labelle Proulx of North Bay and daughter-in-law, Kathy Bennet.
Her grandchildren: Justin, Michaela, Nathan, Leah, Brittany and Mercedes. Brother: James Cunningham, wife Pat predeceased, sister: Beverly Picard predeceased, husband Andre Picard, Anne Watts, husband, Frank, foster brother, Mark Sancouy. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and adopted son Robert Grenier.
Glena was well loved and respected, a life resident in Sudbury. She had been the Administrative Assistant at the Family Enrichment Centre in Sudbury for 15 years. She dearly loved working with the Sisters of St. Joseph and all the councillor’s that worked at the center. She was also involved with various programs that were offered at the residence centre that were very dear to her heart.
Glena was also involved with the CWL as a member and Past President at St. Stanislaus parish, Copper Cliff and later a member at Holy Redeemer parish in Sudbury and was an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Glena was also involved in many Self-Help Programs through the city. Her leadership and friendship was appreciated by all who knew her. The focus of her life was her faith and her family. She was a devout Roman Catholic who attended Holy Redeemer Parish.

Funeral Mass in Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury. Thursday, November 27th, 2014 at 10:00 A.M.
Interment at the family plot at Civic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northeast Cancer Centre, the Family Enrichment Centre or the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
