Who passed away peacefully Sunday October 26th, 2014 at Maison Vale Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Anne Edward of Hanmer and the late Jane Edward (nee Tonkin) (2009). Loving father of Jennifer Edward of Hanmer, Steven Lee Edward (Julie) of Iroquois Falls and Wilhelm Edward (Stephanie) of Guelph, to his step children Sheryl Strojny (Andrew) of Hanmer, Micheal Flynn (Norma) and Anthony Mlakar both of Brampton. Cherished grandfather to Xander, Kingstin and Savannah. Dear brother of Arlene Edward of Niagara and Corinne Edward Zimperi of Timmins. Predeceased by his parents Rainer and Ella (nee Landstrom) Edward and his in laws Peter and Dawn Tonkin. Steve was a very loving person, a dedicated father and all around good guy. He worried about others and was always willing to give a helping hand. He appreciated his 5 a.m. fires in the back yard with his coffee and canine buddy Snyper. He enjoyed the simple things, like a cold one, and watching his favourite sports teams. Family and friends enjoyed his great cooking as well as his welcoming, friendly nature. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury, Friday October 31st, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Memorial Service to follow in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison Vale Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
