Obituary for Pauline Giroux (Fontaine)
Celebrating the Life of Pauline Giroux on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10am. Service to be held Paroisse Ste Marguerite d’Youville, 4290 Old Hwy 69, Val Therese, ON P3P 1S7 followed by a luncheon in the Church Hall. We invite you to bring a photo of your favourite memory of Pauline, to create a “Life Memory Scrapbook”
In loving memory of Pauline Giroux (née Fontaine), 82 years who passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the Extendicare Falconbridge. Beloved wife and soul mate of 60 years to Roland Giroux. Loving mother of Richard (Cindy) and Liette Michaud (Gilles). Cherished grandmother of Kyle Giroux (Danica), Jeffrey Michaud (Jenn) and Alex Michaud (Kylie). Dear daughter of Roger and Rose (née Laurin) Fontaine both predeceased and daughter-in-law of Wilfred and Cécile Giroux both predeceased. Dear sister of Ray Fontaine (Louise), Carol Daoust (Gilles) and Danny predeceased and sister-in-law of Rita Houle (Don) both predeceased, Claude Giroux, Jeannine Chrétien (Andy) both predeceased, Thérèse Villeneuve (Dave), Hector Giroux (Jeannine) both predeceased, Roger Giroux (Rose), Claudette Boulay (Roger) both predeceased, Julie Shea (Gerry), Gerry Giroux (Carmen), Andy Giroux, and Marcel Giroux. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Pauline loved and dedicated her precious life to her children and family. Pauline was a very proud and beautiful woman, who brightened everyone’s lives. She loved fishing, dancing, shopping but most of all spending time with family and friends. Pauline’s hugs and kisses that always made each and everyone of us feel special will always be remembered.
Always in our thoughts, never forgotten and always in our hearts.
As per Pauline’s wishes, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin.
