Obituary for Simone Marie Boivin (Laforest)

It is with great sadness the passing of Simone Boivin (Laforest) on Monday May 22nd, 2023, at home with her husband Philip and surrounded by her five children by her side.

She leaves behind her loving husband Philippe Boivin and her 5 children Michel Boivin (Gloria), Roger Boivin (Linda), Marc Boivin (Donna), Rachelle Pigeau (Tom), Pierre Boivin (Kate).

Cherished Memere to12 Grandchildren, Philip(jr), Ashley Chartrand (Chris), Marc(jr) (Miranda), Mathew (Jillian), Cody, Kimberley (Tyler), Dalton Pigeau (Cassandra), Avery Pigeau (Cara), Drake (Amy), Jamie, Adora, Shiloh. And 11 great grandchildren Logan, Nathan, Truleigh, Willow, Lydia, Lucas, Hayden, Leo, Presley, Addison, and Levi.

Predeceased by her parents Lucien and Louise Laforest (nee Joly). Dear sister of Rose Godbout (Arthur predeceased), John (Fran), Madeleine Prudhomme (Noel), Gerald, Suzanne, Annette Larabie (Denis predeceased). Irene Sabourin-Dolittle (Frank) both predeceased, Theresa Wood (Rod) both predeceased, Jean Romolock (Johnny) both predeceased, Noella Roshko (John) both predeceased, Louis (Paulette) both predeceased, Cecile Verkaik (Frank) both predeceased, Rita predeceased, Aline (Barry), Roger Laforest (predeceased) Lorna and Lucy Rienguette (Ted) (both predeceased). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the “Angels” staff of Aid Aux Seniors and specifically Rachelle the PSW who went above and beyond to care for her. We would also like to mention Nurses Julie and Ron from the Home dialysis department at HSN for their kind support.

A big thank you to family and friends who have shown wonderful acts of kindness to our family in recent days.

Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday, May 25, 2023). Funeral Service at the Markstay Pentecostal Church, Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:30am. Cremation with interment at St. Mark Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Markstay Pentecostal Church would be appreciated.
