With great sadness the family of Frances Dorothy Kettle announces her passing on May 22, 2023 at Health Sciences North age 95. Frances met her beloved husband Lloyd in Sudbury and they were married from August 1946 until his passing in August 1993. Together they raised a family of seven children: Linda, Leonard (wife Sally), Lloyd predeceased 1996 (wife Teresa), Lawrence (wife Wanda), Donald predeceased 2021 (wife Bonnie), Brian, Gordon (wife Cheri). She was also the loving grandmother to many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren that will miss her dearly. Aside from being a cherished wife, mother and grandmother, Frances was a very accomplished, talented businesswoman which was especially apparent in the determination she demonstrated in helping her husband start and manage, for decades, Ontario Food Sales, a successful, well-known company in the Sudbury area. Perhaps she is best remembered, though, for her unique kindness and generosity. There were very few things that she couldn’t or wouldn’t do to assist others, always willing to sacrifice and put their needs ahead of her own. She was definitely a “one of a kind” courageous and adventurous individual. In her later years, she wintered in Florida and lived at her treasured summer cottage on Joe Lake where she could often be seen working in her yard or garden as well as visiting with friends and family. Thank you to all of the wonderful people that were a part of her life and to the doctors and staff at Health Sciences North that cared for her at the end of her life. She was much loved and will never be forgotten!
