In loving memory of James, Joseph “Joe” Behan after a long battle with illness.
Joe will be missed deeply by Ex-wife, and loving Mother to his children, Leslie Pollock Behan. Loving father to his “Dolly” Laura-Leigh Gillard (Wallace), and his “Toad” Joshua Behan. Proud Papa to his “Dolly Pups” Ellie-Anna, Lola-Jo, and Ruby Grace. Son of David Anthony Behan (predeceased) and Teresa Irene Donovan Behan (predeceased). Special brother to Richard (Sharon) Behan, Patrick (Natalie) Behan, Cathy (Martin) McNulty, John (Wendy) Behan, and Joy Behan, and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Joe will be remembered fondly as someone who was creative, intelligent, strong, and resilient. Throughout his lifetime, Joe had many passions including painting, woodworking, and singing and playing guitar with his brothers. He enjoyed reading daily, playing golf, and watching NASCAR. He was an excellent cook who specialized in homemade soups and stews which he loved sharing with others. Joe had a deep respect for animals and nature and plants, with his favourite place to be, among the trees on his family’s farm in Eganville, On.
Cremation with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
