Obituary for Myrna Jacqueline Antoine (Gibson)

In Loving Memory of Myrna (Gibson) Antoine, 84 years who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on March 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Jack Antoine (predeceased). Loving mother of Sharon (Marc Breault, predeceased), Barbara (Shane St Amand) and Cindy Meisenheimer.

Cherished Grandmother of Shawna (Adam), Gregg, Eric (Valerie), Renée (Jason), Angèle (predeceased), Carrie, David (Michele), Nick (Cheryl), Shawn, Thomas (Sabrina), Candace (Wade), Titus (Brandi), and Samuel (Natalie); Great- Grandmother of Ty, Avery, Nolan, Mikenna, Madyson, Mackenzie, Liam, History, Sara, Ben, Ava, Astrid, Ryder, Keegan, London, Christopher, Kardon, Ryan, Codie, and Ryder; and Great-Great-Grandmother of Axel and Kayzen.

Dear daughter of John and Rita Gibson (both predeceased), dear sister of Donna (Donald) Malette (both predeceased), Bill Gibson (predeceased), John Gibson (Pauline), and Mark Gibson (Helen). She will also be sadly missed by many friends, nieces, and nephews.

A woman of great faith and the heart of her family, she guided her family by her loving example. She will be remembered for her service in the community volunteering at the Northeast Cancer Centre and the New Sudbury Food Bank, long-time member and Past President of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and the “props” girl for the Rising Stars.

She will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a woman who exemplified her love, comfort, peace and caring to everyone she met in life.

The family would like to thank Dr. André Roch and the staff at Health Sciences North 4th Floor North Tower for their care and compassion administered throughout her stay; and a special thanks to Laura Lepage for her friendship and support.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Sudbury on Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at 11:00 am. Friends are invited to gather in the church hall following the service.
