Obituary for Ronald Jack Harmer

In loving memory of Ronald “Ron” Jack Harmer 78 years. Passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at the Maison McCulloch Hospice on Sunday, March 26th, 2023.

Beloved husband and best friend of 57 years to Viola Harmer (nee Courchesne). Predeceased by his parents Garnet and Mildred Harmer (nee Gannon-Orr). Dear brother of Bella (Bob), Carol (Wayne), Gail, Garnet Jr, and predeceased by Raymond, Betty, Geraldine, and Barry. Brother-in-law of Carrie, Jane, Raynald, Robert, Leonard, Ernest, Reginald predeceased, Michael, and Peter, and their families. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Ron was born in Espanola on June 23rd, 1944. He married Viola on February 5th, 1966. Together they spent over 45 years in Kitchener working as super intendants for many rental properties. He loved to play his guitar, the outdoors, golfing, and fishing, He was the past secretary for the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Friends may gather at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street, Sudbury on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm with prayers at 7pm. Cremation with burial at a later date in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery Kitchener. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
