Obituary for Pat Pacey (Major)

Pierette (Pat) (Major) Pacey (89). Pat died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by love March 2nd, 2023. Born and raised in Osseo in 1933, she married Earl Pacey (deceased) in 1950 and moved to Matachewan to start a family. They had three children -Debbie (deceased), Daniel & Judy- before moving to Chelmsford Ontario, where she spent the rest of her life as an active member of the community. Patsy would volunteer with the Chelmsford Legion's Lady's Auxiliary for over 45 years, and later as a clerk at Chelmsford Valley District Composite School to be near her grandchildren. She adored spending her time playing card games especially Euchre and Cribbage but would occasionally play a simpler game like Crazy 8's for the sake of her grandchildren. The music of Johnny Cash was a constant in her life, and she would often mention the many trips she took to see him perform live. Patsy spent her golden years traveling with Earl all over Ontario, Quebec, both the west and the coast of Canada to visit her siblings and many nieces & nephews. She is survived by her sister Rachel (Leveille), her daughter Judy (Randy Morrissey), grandsons Ryan, and Sean (Jessica) and her special girl and frequent visitor, great-granddaughter Brielle Randi. Pat is also survived by son Daniel (Leslie), grandchildren Richard, David, Jenilee (Greg), and Travis (Emmanuelle), great-grandchildren Kayden, Keifer & Bryn and Live & Nico. As per her wishes, Patsy will be cremated and there will be an intimate celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
