It is with the greatest of sorrow that the family announces the passing of Rita Elizabeth Amero (nee Facca) a lifelong resident of Sudbury on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023. Rita is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Earl Amero. She leaves behind her sister Gloria Moskalyk and is predeceased by her siblings Lina Demers and Primo Facca. She is survived by her loving children Linda Storozuk (James) and Lennis Amero (Norma) and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Sabrina, Olivia, Marcus, Alyssa and James. Sadly, great grandchildren Sadie, Savannah, Sabastian, Yuya, Farrah and Myles are yet too young to know the extent to which they were cherished.

Rita owned and operated The Sudbury Electrolysis Clinic for many years, loved to travel and belonged to several ladies’ associations such as the CWL, Beta Sigma Phi and The Red Hats Society and leaves behind many lifelong friendships.

Entombment at the Civic Mausoleum will take place at a later date with a celebration of life.
