Obituary for Gerda Dyczka (Lamepel)
In loving memory of Gerda Dyczka 87 years. Passed away peacefully at Pioneer Manor on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023. Beloved wife of William “Bill” Dyczka predeceased in 2015. Loving mother of Marianne (Leon predeceased), and Danny (wife Dianne). Cherished Oma of Jason (Michelle), and Dwayne (Melissa), and Baba of Adam, Jacques (Tyana), and Annie (Richard), and great grandmother of Darion, Aaden, Hunter, and Mia, Nikol, Dyllan, Nicholas, and Kalie, and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings. Survived by nieces and nephews especially Bruni and Gisela, and many family and friends.
Gerda was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, and a past member of the Ukrainian League. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and was a very good cook. She also helped at church to make perogies.
Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 from 6-8 pm with Panakhyda at 7 pm. Funeral mass at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at 10:30 am. Burial alongside her husband in St. John’s Cemetery in Garson.
