In loving memory of Jean Margaret Gouchie who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 94. Beloved wife of John Gouchie predeceased 1989 and partner of Geoff Knight. Loving mother of Michael (Nancy), John (Kathy), Jim (Wendy), Elizabeth (John Bouchard) and Connie Chiasson. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Christina, Vanessa, Greg, Travis, Cory, Meaghan, Chloe, Josee and Leif and great grandmother of Marcus, Aspen, Liliana, Sutton, Orah, Elliot, Atlas, and Sophie. Dear sister of Frances, Eva, Dorothy, and Muriel all predeceased. Jean was a founding and active member of the Lockerby Legion. She was the Past President and Zone Commander of the Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed sitting on the bursary committee. She loved to dance and was always up for happy hour. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor especially Stacy, Stephanie, Jamie and Matthew for all the care and compassion given to Jean over the last few years.
Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather from 4-8pm Friday, February 3rd, 2023. Funeral prayers in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Saturday, 11:30pm. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Pioneer Manor would be appreciated.
