Obituary for Ronald Jules Nantais
It is with heavy hearts that the Nantais Family announces the sudden passing of Ronald Jules (Ron) Nantais of Elbow Lake on January 17th 2023.
Beloved husband of Katie Nantais, loving father of Cory, Dylan, Riley (Ryan), and Sydney. Fur Dad of Gus and proud grandfather of Lillias. Loving and devoted son of Jules and Shirley, treasured brother of Tim (Perri) and Trisha of Sault Ste. Marie. Grandson of the late Normand and Amanda Nantais, Orval (Beatrice) and Yvette Emery of Windsor (all predeceased). Special son in-law of Elmer, Jane, Tom, and Margret-Ann. Ron will also be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, band mates, and fellow fire-fighters.
A well-known businessman, Ron was the President of Northern Insurance and enjoyed a long and prosperous career within the insurance industry. Ron was a talented drummer with a passion for music. Throughout the years he played many events, venues, and charity shows throughout Northern Ontario.
He was also a retired volunteer firefighter with the Estaire/Wanup fire department, and recognized by the Province of Ontario for his decades of volunteer service with the Human League Breakfast Club for kids and PLAY program.
The family would like to thank the community for their continued support, kind words, condolences, and love for Ron during this time.
A Celebration of Life will take place Friday January 27th, 2023 at Natura from 4pm-7pm (1351-D Kelly Lake Road Sudbury, ON)
Speech’s starting at 5pm.
Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to the Estaire-Wanup Fire Department and/or Pet Save Sudbury.
