George “Ken” Peters
In loving memory of Kenneth George Peters, 89 years, who passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care in Sudbury.
Loving father of Wendy predeceased and Sean (Christina) and proud grandfather to Astra Peters. Survivied by best friend to Ruth Grexton (Christine and Franco Fratin), and honorary grandpa Ken to Taylor, Emily and Laura.
Also survived by his brother Leonard (wife Dee) from Kingston, Ontario. Ken proudly served in the Navy aboard HMCS Bonaventure Aircraft Carrier. Following his years in the Navy he worked for both INCO and Falconbridge before retiring.
He was a member of the Hilltop Senior’s Woodworking Shop for many years and a member of the Canadian Legion Branch 76.
He enjoyed time spent woodworking and gardening.
Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12Noon. (Friends may call after 11am Saturday). Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
