Obituary for Angela "Angie" Scully (Belhumeur)

Scully, Angela (nee Belhumeur)
February 1, 1933 - December 26, 2022

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury after a long struggle with age-related illness at the age of 89. Angela was born on the family farm in Val Gagne, Ontario into a close knit family of six children to Alfred and Daria (nee Riendeau) Belhumeur. Angela deeply loved her brothers and sisters; family gatherings and holiday visits were always anticipated with great excitement. Predeceased by siblings Yvette, Roland, Arthur and Lise; survived by her sister Jacqueline. Angela was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Marvin “Max” Scully in 2019 and her dear grandson Donovan in 2021. Also lovingly survived by her children Mychol, James and Caroline and son-in-law John, as well as grandchildren Chris, Nick, Rachel, Cameron, Sarah, and James.

Angie loved bowling, bingo, parties, country and western music, and her daily drink of rye and water around 4 pm. She enjoyed travel later in life, convincing Max to explore Canada coast to coast, as well as the United States. Included in these destinations were warm coastal visits during the cold Sudbury winters, road trips to Graceland, Branson, and Nashville, as well as a couple of thrilling vacations to Hawaii.

We are extremely grateful for the care Angela received from Dr. Katherine Anne Kauffeldt and Dr. James Chau, as well as the Community Care team at the Northeast LIHN and the amazing staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 21st, 2023 at 11 am at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church, 151 Glenlake Ave., Toronto, to be followed by burial at Park Lawn Cemetery.
