Obituary for Rita Sophia Urso (Presta)

In Loving Memory of Rita Urso (nee Presta) 75 years old
Passed away peacefully on December 26th at Health Sciences North, Sudbury

Rita is now reunited with her parents, the late Maria and Alfredo Presta. She is survived by her husband Leopoldo (Nardo) and her two children Cindy (Raymond) and Anthony.
She was the loving older sister of Joey Presta.

Cherished Nonna of Danica (Matthew), McKenna, Olivier, and Matteo.
Will be dearly missed by the Scorneinachi Family (Zia Franca, Angela (Micheal) and Sandra). Cherished aunt to Kim Presta, Christopher Presta (Jenny) and Jeffrey Presta (Sandra). She will also be missed by her great nephew (Nathan) and great nieces ( Julia, Ava, and Eiana)
Rita had a special relationship with all of the Urso brother-in-laws, sister-in laws, nieces and nephews.
Rita's greatest love was her family and looked forward to family gatherings at her home and camp on Manitoulin Island. A woman of faith, she always would say “God is Good!”
Rita was born on January 14, 1947 in Dipignano, Cosenza, Italy and immigrated to Canada in April 1956. She began her career at Sears in May 1974 and worked there for 33 years. She was a dedicated employee as an Elizabeth Arden Representative and was a top seller for Canada!
She really appreciated and loved her friends that were created at Sears and she continued to keep in touch with them. Rita did touch the lives of so many people!
Rita felt she had everything one could ever want, and taught her family to work hard and be strong and be there for one another!

There aren't enough words to express our appreciation to Herman’s Pharmacy staff for their generosity and extra time they took to explain how to use the medication during our mother’s last journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all the friends and family who went over and above to help Rita when she needed them the most. Our family will ALWAYS be grateful!

As per her request, there will be no visitation but rather a private family funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations were made to the Northern Cancer Foundation and Our Lady of Hope Church.
