Obituary for Marjorie Scott (Cuthbertson)

It is with great sadness that we announce that Marjorie Scott of Sudbury, Ontario, has passed away. She became an angel on December 22, 2022, only 16 days before her 100th birthday!

Marjorie, or Nonnie, as she was known by many, was as inspirational as they come. She still lived alone, drove, handled her own chores, and grew some of the most gigantic vegetables! She felt strongly that sharing her time between her home on Ramsey Lake and wintering in Florida contributed to her longevity. Marjorie will be remembered for her quick wit, generous hospitality, and adventurous spirit. Everyone who knew her recognized that she was a true force to be reckoned with, and she touched the lives of many people, across multiple generations. Much more could be said, but in the end, what she did was make our world a little brighter. A life so remarkably lived deserves to be wonderfully remembered.

Marjorie lives on through her loving family. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Joan Evans, sons Robert Scott (Betty Ann), Dave Scott, Alex Scott (Sheila), and daughter Mary Lou Mick. Her beloved fur baby and best pal, Peanut, will be lost without her. Marjorie is predeceased by her parents, Blanche and Alexander Cuthbertson, her husband, Alexander Scott, and her sisters, Gwen Kutchaw, Maxine Baseden, and Mary Lou Cuthbertson. She will be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Marj chose to live a life that mattered.

Donations in Marjorie’s honor are greatly appreciated, and may be made to Pet Save Sudbury (https://petsavesudbury.com/donate/).

Now that Nonnie is reunited with the “Snoop Sisters”, heavenly shenanigans are sure to commence!

Arrangements entrusted to Park Lawn Crematorium.
