Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Rae was an avid community leader and spent most of her 33-year teaching career at Lively District Secondary School receiving numerous accolades during her tenure. In 1993-94, she and Ted were awarded the OFSSA leadership in school sport award (swimming). She was an exceptional coach, mentor, and the biggest champion of all of whom she taught. Her philosophy was centered in ensuring her students excelled not only in school but in life.

Member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Algoma Chapter #139 and Fidelis Chapter #99 North Bay, Grand Representative of Scotland in Ontario, her level of commitment was unparalleled. Rae volunteered countless hours with her husband for the Sudbury Shrine Club’s fundraising events. She was a member of the Walden Lioness Club for 29 years. She was a life-long and board member of Knox Presbyterian Church.

We wish to thank Dr. Brule, Dr. Noble, Dr. Bissonette, Dr. Centis, Dr. Bonilla, Dr. Singh and RN Erin Kolari and staff, and former students Dr. Pearce and Dr. Clarke for the absolute highest level of care throughout her cancer journey.
