It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gerard “Gerry” England at the age of 84 years at Extendicare York. He was the loving son of Gaspard England, Yvonne Michaud, and stepfather Phileas Albert, all predeceased. Cherished brother of Jean England predeceased. He was the loving uncle of Brenda Bennett. He’s also survived by nephews Rick, Chris, Allen, and several cousins and other family members. Gerry worked a number of years at CP Rail, followed by several years at Dresser Industries, a mining equipment company. In his retirement years, he enjoyed working in his garden, long walks, puttering in his garage. He also liked to read and watch the Toronto Blue Jays on TV. In keeping with Gerry’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family funeral will be held. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
