Obituary for John Moland

It is with sadness that the family announces John’s passing on Sept 28, 2022 at St-Joseph’s Villa in Sudbury at the age of 90. John was the son of Thomas and Aura Moland. He was predeceased by his wife Marie (nee Bruneau) Moland. Loving father of Eric Moland (Carole), Lori Cameron (James predeceased) and Katherine Castonquay (Mike predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Darryl Moland (Marsha), Amy Moland (Randy Rice), Craig Paul (predeceased) Marquise, Krysta Beyers (Ross). Great Grandpa to Emma Julia and Grant Moland, Maeve Osborne, Jorja Osborne (predeceased) and Lucas Osborne (predeceased), Corinna, Priscilla and Ayla Paul, Autumn, Alys and Jack Beyers. He is also survived by brother Tom Moland (Sue) and Norm (Kay) and predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother David. John was a kind & gentle man who cared for his family and friends.
He and Marie spent every minute of their lives together enjoying the life they had and growing the beautiful family that came to be. John was Marie’s care giver from the first moment of her illness until she passed, and he has missed her dearly ever since. John worked for INCO for 42 years. He enjoyed his career and all that it had to offer in both personal and professional growth. John was not only a Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Commanding Officer, School Board Trustee, Boy Scout Leader, Local Roads Board Secretary he was a son, husband, brother, brother-in-law, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, uncle & friend to so many. You will be missed. Rest in peace Dad. If desired, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
