Obituary for Carmel Lucy Rybachuk (Cuoco)
In loving memory of Carmel Lucy Rybachuk (nee Cuoco), 101 years, peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Extendicare York in Sudbury.
Beloved wife of John Rybachuk Sr., predeceased in 1985. Loving mother of John Rybachuk Jr. (Natalie). Cherished grandmother of Jody. Cherished great-nanny of Caleb and Dylan. Dear daughter of Amadeo and Catherine (Caluori) Cuoco predeceased. Dear sister of Joanna and Josephine both predeceased.
Carmel was a devout Roman Catholic having been a life and charter member of the Holy Trinity CWL and she had been very active in the parish ministries, especially the choir. In her younger years she was a well-liked and supported Avon representative. She was an avid bowler. Carmel will be remembered as a “people person” who made friends easily and she was quick to help others.
The family expresses their appreciation to the 2nd floor staff at Extendicare York, especially R.N. Mary Ann, R.N. Caroline, and PSWs Debbie and Grace for their excellent care and support.
Funeral Visitation will be held in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home
233 Larch St., 6-8pm Thursday and after 10am Friday.
Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel
Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11am.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment at the Lasalle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Elgin Street Mission would be appreciated.
