Herman Vandeligt – April 21, 1956 – August 9, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Herman Vandeligt on August 9, 2022 at the age of 66 surrounded by his loving family at Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Beloved husband and best friend to Monique (Lemieux) Vandeligt. Loving father to Julie and her fiancée (Garthe Alaric), Jennie Jenkins (Brad). Amazing grandfather to Breanna Davlut, Zoey Stasiuk and Leighton Vandeligt. Predeceased by his parents Christine and Theodore “Dutchie” Vandeligt. Younger brother to Peter (Nicole), Trudy (Pat Boyd), Paul (Joe-Ann), Jack (predeceased) (Iris), Jacqueline (Don Hamilton), Mary (Connie Menard), Ted Jr (Monique) and Herman’s twin brother Bert (Karen – predeceased). Dear brother in-law of Omer Lemieux, Claudette Pelletier (Zoel) and furbaby Mookie. We cannot express how grateful we are to all of our family, friends and caregivers who helped us through this difficult journey. Herman touched a lot of people with his kind heart and his amazing work ethic and will forever be loved.
Memorial Visitation at Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022. Memorial Service will be held at the Hanmer Lougheed Funeral Home on Wednesday August 17th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with interment in the Valley East Cemetery.
