Obituary for Caroline "Carol" More
September 13, 1943 - August 9, 2022
It is with broken hearts that the family of Caroline Patricia More announces her passing on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Manitoulin Lodge Long Term Care Residence in Gore Bay at the age of 78.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ann More and her sister Maryanne More. She is survived by 4 siblings, Tom More (Judy deceased), Theresa Burd (Pat), Joe More and Charles More. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Carol was a very loving, caring and giving person. She gave a lot of her time helping in the day to day running of the family confectionary store located in Sudbury’s West End. She was a woman of devout faith and a life-time parishioner at St Clement and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Churches. She always eagerly participated in the church choirs. She spent many hours making rosaries along with her sister Maryanne and donated them to children at the church. Carol was a very avid volunteer. She provided a great deal of her time joyously helping out at St Johns Ambulance in her younger years and Pioneer Manor and Extendicare Falconbridge. At Manitoulin Lodge she would help residence out especially in preparation for meal time.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at Manitoulin Lodge, especially Gloria Hall and Dr. C. Wilson for their wonderful and compassionate care and service and professionalism.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Service. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
