In loving memory of Rosa (Rosetta) Serafino Galluzzo, 87 years of Sudbury who passed away in the Health Sciences North hospital on Monday, August 1st, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Michele Galluzzo (predeceased) of Sudbury. Loving mother of Carmela Abitbol, Maria Galluzzo (spouse Rejean Trottier), both of Sudbury, and Lucia Galluzzo (spouse Michele Sorbo) of Richmond Hill. Cherished nonna of Julia, Jordana, Isaac, Alessia, and Eliana. Dear daughter of Leonardo and Maria (Bruzzese) Serafino (predeceased). Adored sister of Alfonsina Attisano (spouse Gaetano Attisano), both predeceased, Giuditta Serafino (spouse Leonardo Mazzone), both predeceased, Elisabetta Serafino (spouse Alessandro Litrico - predeceased), Rocco Serafino (spouse Annamaria Ferrera). Sadly missed by adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosa was born in 1934 in Portigliola, Reggio Calabria, Italy. She married in Italy in 1961, and immigrated to Sudbury in 1968. She was a devout Catholic, devoted wife, and adoring mother and grandmother, blessing everyone she met, and putting everyone else's needs before her own. She will be remembered as a very sweet, loving, and friendly woman with a pure heart. The family would like to thank Dr. de Blacam and the caring nurses and PSWs at the HSN for making her last days comfortable. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME at 252 Regent St (at Hazel St). Family and friends may visit between 2-5:00 and 7-9:00 PM on Tuesday, August 9th, with prayers at 3pm Tuesday. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church at 591 Brennan Rd, Sudbury, on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
