Obituary for Tauno John Kulmala

In loving memory of Tauno John Kulmala, 93 years, who passed away on Sunday, June 19th at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury.
Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Tyyne Kulmala (nee Pihlaja), and wife, Bernadette (nee Paiement). Survived by his children, Norman (Magda), Brian (Rosalba), Susan (Keith), grandchildren Kirk, Kristie (Jonathan), Logan (Kristen), Kort (Sarah), Breeanna (Dalton), Brooke, and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Spencer, Walter, and Lauren.
Tauno (aka “Tino”) spent 37 years at Inco where he was a recognized master of his electrical trade. He ended his career in the General Engineering department and was recruited upon retirement as a consultant for his expertise in large scale construction projects.
Tauno and his wife Bernadette took great pleasure in dancing and seized every opportunity to join in on the dance floor well into their senior years. Tauno enjoyed many years at his camp on Lake Apsey where he always welcomed the company of family and friends. His gentle nature, sense of humour, and generosity will be missed.
The family is grateful to the staff of Pioneer Manor for their loving care and compassion during his time there. In keeping with Tauno’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Private interment will be attended by immediate family. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
