Obituary for Aurora Piccin (Pessot)

In loving memory of Aurora Piccin (nee Pessot), 88 years. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice

Beloved wife of Angelo (predeceased 1998). Loving mother of Marinella (Robert Leblanc). Cherished Nonna to Michael Leblanc. Daughter of Giordano and Chiara (Pedron) Pessot, both predeceased.
Dear sister of Bruna Piccin (husband Francesco) of Sudbury and Eugenia (Elio predeceased) Pagotto, Antonio Pessot (predeceased) (Laura), Maria (Giuseppe, both predeceased) Rossi, and Rina (Natale, both predeceased) Brieda all of Italy. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Aurora always looked forward to spring when she would start spending time in her beloved garden. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for treasured family get-togethers. She remembered fondly her 26 years working at Cecutti's Bakery where she made life-long friends.

We would like to acknowledge her neighbours Brian, Wendy, Brenda, and Susan who were always so kind to Aurora. Know that it meant the world to her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The family would like to thank Mary and Arro from the Sudbury District Nurse Practitioners Clinic, Ielish from Bayshore, Karen from Shared Care, and the Hospice team for their kindness and care.

We were privileged to have Aurora for 88 years and although we will miss her every day, we are filled with gratitude. We know our family has been blessed to have been given such a beautiful example of how life should be lived, from beginning to end.

“O voi che mi avete tanto amato, non guardate la vita che lascio ma quella che incomincio.”
(S. Agostino)
