In loving memory of Hylda Dunningham Lalonde (nee Ritchie), 95 years. With great sadness, the family announces her passing on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Health Sciences North. Daughter of James C. Ritchie, and Jessie Rae Murray, both predeceased. Dearly loved and loving wife of the late Vince Lalonde. Much loved mother of Greg of Sudbury, and Deborah of Toronto. Sadly missed by grandson Andrew. Predeceased by sister Kathleen E. Ritchie.

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Hylda was a primary school teacher prior to coming to Canada in 1955. She taught in Copper Cliff where she met our father. They enjoyed a good life together, spending 8 years in Guatemala, when Dad was sent there by INCO. They travelled extensively, including many trips to Scotland. She was a life-long Opera fan, and was a member of the Sudbury Opera Guild, enjoying trips to Toronto to see live performances and making many friends. She was a great storyteller and loved to regale us with them. She also enjoyed the Ballet and was an avid piano player. She also painted in her younger years. She will be missed by Family and others.
