Obituary for Earl Amero

In loving memory of Earl Joseph Amero 90 years. Passed away peacefully at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Friday, June 10th, 2022. Survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rita Elizabeth (nee Facca), daughter Linda Storozuk (husband James), and son Lennis (wife Norma) (nee Leck). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Sabrina (Alanna), Marcus (Mio), Olivia (Lucas), Alyssa, and James (Jessica). He was a proud great grandfather to Sadie, Savanna, Sabastian, Yuya, Farrah, and Myles. He is fondly regarded by extended family and friends. Earl or “Bud” as he was known to family, was predeceased by his parents and siblings. He was born April 1st, 1932 in rural Nova Scotia and came to Sudbury in his late teens, working underground at INCO. He opened Kingsway Trailer Sales which he owned and operated for many years before entering real estate, in which he remained until his retirement. An avid fisherman and hunter, Earl also loved his 50+ years as a member of the Idylwylde Golf Club and enjoyed the camaraderie of his buddies there. A self-taught guitarist and singer, he excelled at performing and rivalled the best in country music. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice. There will be no visitation or service. Entombment in the Civic Mausoleum will take place at a later date.
