O’Reilly, Anne (nee Imperatori)
May 29, 1932 - May 12, 2022
We were blessed to share our Mother and Nonnie for nearly 90 years, and it is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we share that Anne has joined her husband, Owen Joseph (predeceased 2018) with her peaceful passing on May 12, 2022.
Dear Mother of Chris (Maureen), Michael (Kelly), and Donna (Joe). Cherished Nonnie to Brittaney, Curtis (Samantha), Collin, Justin, Cailin, and Declan. Loving sister to Nellie (Leo), and the late Nancy (Bob) both predeceased.
Anne “Nonnie” loved her family and spent every waking hour cooking, phoning, and worrying about what her children and grandchildren had done that day. Anne loved to cook and bake, and always kept the freezer full of her family’s favourites for special holidays and surprise visits. Anne’s home was always open to family and friends, with delicious food always ready for any company that came through her door.
In her younger years, Anne enjoyed many crafts including knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, sewing, and petit point, creating endless treasures that will forever be cherished by her family. She was passionate about working in her garden growing fresh produce and beautiful flowers, but nothing could compare to the joy she felt spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Anne spent a short time at Meadowbrook Retirement Residence in her final years, and enjoyed reconnecting with some old friends, and making new acquaintances who tried to make her feel at home. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice who provided Anne with comfort and love during her final days.
