Obituary for Clarence "Bubs" Joseph Cornect
In loving memory of Clarence “Bubs” Joseph Cornect 57 years.
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we announce his unexpected passing at his residence on Monday, May 9th, 2022. Waiting for him in heaven with a cold one are his father Clarence and brother David “Pea Soup”, and also his nephew Braeden, who was ready to greet Uncle Bubs with a big bear hug.
Loving husband and best friend of Rhonda (nee Ball). He and Rhonda spent 37 years together and were married in 2017. Cherished and proud father of Shawn, Jeremy, and Melissa Adams (husband Sam). Adored Papa of Alaina, Bryson, Courtney, and Chase. Son of Ella Cornect (nee Short) and stepfather Eric. Brother of Donna (Ren), Tony, Lana (Dominic), Connie (Earl), Joanne (Steve), Peter (Sonya) and, sister-in-law Marilyn. He will be sadly missed and loving remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Clarence was born in Pasadena, Newfoundland on February 8th, 1965. He moved his family to Ontario 27 years ago, and was a long-time resident of Coniston.
He worked at Paramount Construction for almost 20 years. He was a hard worker who took great pride in his work. He will be missed by all his friends who became family over the years at Paramount.
Clarence was a jack of all trades; he loved to tinker and could always be counted on when someone needed a helping hand. He was charismatic, loving, funny, and had a laugh and smile that would make his presence in any room known. He enjoyed the outdoors, and had a passion for fishing. He loved sitting around a campfire with his family and friends, and always enjoyed a good thunder storm. He loved darts, and was a past member of the Coniston Dart Busters. Although our hearts are heavy, they remain full of the love and memories he left us, which we will cherish forever.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Family and friends are invited to the Coniston Curling Club (67 4th Ave Coniston) on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 from 2-4pm. Clarence loved Sudbury, but his heart always belonged in Newfoundland. A celebration of his life, as well as burial alongside his father and brother in Pasadena will be held, and announced at a later date. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or COPD would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
