Obituary for Noreen Veronica Davidson (Jennings)

In loving memory of Noreen Veronica Davidson (nee Jennings), 87 years, who passed away May 5, 2022. She is survived by her soulmate/best-friend and forever dance partner Don Pagnutti and their children Wendy Ross (Rick), Donna Slobodian (Dennis), John Davidson (Kim), Dan Davidson (Brenda), Brian Pagnutti (Laura) and special daughter Marilyn Laurin.
She is predeceased by her children Randy, Judy, and Diane; as well as Noreen’s own siblings Russell, Mary, Ellen, Rita, Betty, and Ivan.
Noreen loved spending time with her grandchildren Patrick (Mena), Rikki-Lynn (Joel), Josh, Lauren, Logan, Megan, and Scott and great-grandchildren Noah, Sophie, Andrew, Riley, and Annika. Whether it was explaining how to throw a baseball or talk about her beloved Chicago Blackhawks “NANNY” was always there to help or listen.
Noreen will be remembered for her quick wit, great stories, and her eternal love for her family. Always the first to offer an opinion she was just as quick to offer a helping hand not only to family but anyone in need. She was very proud of her family, the work ethic she and Don instilled in all of their children and her long career in the Sudbury Ladies Fastball League while being a full-time mother.
Friends/Family and even strangers have heard all the stories (and read the clippings she would show) about her trials and tribulations as one of the premier pitchers in that league. These stories would be vetted as 100 accurate by her longtime friend on and off the diamond Judy Dunn. She served in several capacities of the Lockerby Legion Ladies Auxiliary, including President. A long-standing member of Branch 564 she will always be remembered for putting on Seniors Dances for the branch members where her and Don would ensure everyone enjoyed themselves.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at St. Joseph's Villa their care and compassion and tireless efforts. From the moment she moved in whether it was playing catch with Dawson or putting in her 25000 steps following Krista and the other caregivers around, she was always treated like a queen.
Please join the family in a celebration of life that will take place at the Lockerby Legion (2200 Long Lake Rd) on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 3-7pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Joseph’s Villa would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home. For donations and messages of condolences, www.lougheedfuneralhomes.com
