In loving memory of Wilma Anne Graham, (nee Angus) 71 years. Wilma passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North with her loving husband Roy and devoted sister Beth at her side. Born in 1950 in Winchester, Ontario to George and Nora Angus (nee Presley) both predeceased. She is survived by her loving sister Beth Short (Mernie predeceased), and her beloved husband Roy, sons William (Kelly), Garnet (Diane), daughter Jennifer (Paul), grandchildren Brendan, Andre, Kalynn, Garnet Jr., Geoffery, Callasandra, Stuart, Bethany, Joseph. Wilma leaves behind sisters-in-law Anne (Charlie predeceased), Margaret (Jerry), Agnes (Hugh), brother-in-law Monty (Kyle), and many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was a dedicated teacher with the Simcoe County Board of Education most of her teaching career and taught special education for many years. She attained her 32 years of teaching service and retired to Everett, and later to their new home in Estaire. Wilma was a very strong woman with a smile that could light up any room she walked into. Her true calling was teaching and she shared with her family and others the importance of education as a life long endeavour. Wilma was at peace reading, or being in nature and living on the river. Her dog Brandy gave her many years of comfort and enjoyment.
Wilma was diagnosed with cancer recently and was hoping for a better outcome but to no avail. Her resilience throughout life was amazing and her ability to gain consensus amongst everyone was phenomenal. She had integrity, determination and advocated for herself and all family members on her journey throughout life.
The family thanks Dr. Bradshaw, and staff on the 4th Floor North Palliative Care Unit at Health Sciences North.
A grave side service will be held in Winchester, ON at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. For donations or messages of condolence www.lougheedfuneralhomes.com
