Obituary for Christopher Oscar Anderson

Christopher Oscar Anderson
November 14, 1956 - March 6, 2022
In loving memory of Chris Anderson, 65 years, who passed Sunday with his loving partner Diane Houle by his side. Cherished Son of Robert Anderson and June (Wyatt) both predeceased. Loving Father to Sons Robert and James (Crystal), who are his pride and joy (Mother Linda). Chris leaves behind three wonderful Stepchildren; Shannon, Andrea (Marc) and Andrew (Heidi). Dear Brother to Gregory (Denyse), Brad (Jeannine), Shawna (Graeme) and Lynn (David; both predeceased). Uncle to Christine (Mike), Shannon (Kevin), Charlene (Dean), Krista (Brent), Melanie (Dave), Paula and Erin (predeceased).
Chris spent 30 years at Eastlink (Northern Cable) as a Draftsman/Design Engineer. If you live in Timmins, or the surrounding North—and have fast Internet and Phone; Chris probably laid the plans for that. He was not one for small talk; but would spend hours with People he loved, laughing and discussing the finer things in life. He had a wonderful sense of humour, quick wit, and a gift for storytelling. With a strong sense of morals, Chris always stood up for his Family, Friends and Co-workers.
He had a lifelong passion for music, which he returned to in his later years as Director for The Imperial Knights Alumni. Chris loved to play his Baritone Bugle and practiced daily. He had an amazingly smooth, yet powerful tone which was an absolute pleasure to hear. Even the neighbour swore her cat would jump to the window to listen to the beautiful melodies he played. Chris’s deep voice was equally as soothing; and, if you were lucky, you just might catch him singing his favourite Elvis songs.
As an amateur astronomer, Chris had a child-like sense of wonder and amazement about the Universe, and a profound knowledge of the stars in the Heavens above. He was a faithful partner and loving Father to his kids and all his pets. He will be sorely missed by Family and Friends.
