Obituary for Catherine Zanier (Farrell)
In loving memory of Catherine Toshick Zanier, 83 years. Peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of Dr. Edward Zanier (predeceased) for 55 years. Loving mother of Michael, Paula (James Allen), and David (Karine). Adored and much-loved Nana of Maxwell, Julia, Matti, Jake, Cam, and Wes. Dear daughter of Harry Farrell and Christina (MacDonald) both predeceased. Dear sister of Sheila Roy (Robert) both predeceased and sister-in-law of Sally Davies (Tom predeceased). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born and raised in Creighton Mine where she met and married Edward. Cathy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana and took great pleasure in playing cards with her grandchildren and cheering them on at sporting events.
Memorial Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury, on Friday, November 19th, 2021 at 10:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the church after 10am Friday).
