She will be dearly missed by Wilfred Zimmer the love of her life to whom she shared 73 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Audrey Milne (predeceased), Maryann Lepage (Rick), Cathy Bona (Brian), Cecil Zimmer (Wanda), Sharon Zanini (George), and Michael Zimmer (JoAnn). Loving grandmother to Shawna, Cindy (predeceased), Melissa, Brad, Amanda, Darren, Jacob, Matthew, Andrea, Emily, Jonathan, and Scott. She will be lovingly remembered by her 21 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She will be sadly missed by her surviving sister Dolores. Predeceased by her siblings: Sylvester, Raymond; Eddy, Hilda, Alvin and Melvin.as well as her cherished sisters in law, Elaine and Henediene Weiman.
Catherine was a gentle, loving soul who gave selflessly of herself to her family. She was an awesome cook and baker, specifically her infamous cinnamon rolls that she willingly shared with anyone who graced her door. She would welcome everyone with loving, open arms and treat them like one of the family. She will be remembered for her huge family dinners, most of all her Christmas dinners where we would be dined with a delicious dinner and numerous homemade deserts. Christmas was always a celebration that was celebrated with guitar playing and singing. She loved her music and could harmonize beautifully with her son Michael... a talent which was not inherited by the rest of her children.
Rest In Peace, sweet lady. When we look up to heaven we will remember, “You are our sunshine, our only sunshine, you make us happy when skies are grey. You’ll never know dear, how much we love you. Now they’ve taken our sunshine away.”
