Obituary for William "Bill" Pearce Penton

In loving memory of William “Bill” Penton, 87 years who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Extendicare York, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Colleen (McGuire) Penton. Cherished son of Jack and Annie Penton both predeceased. Loving brother of Julie (Henry Sutherland) both predeceased, Mary (Leonard Ryan) both predeceased, Frederick predeceased, Lawrence (Ethel) both predeceased, Alice, Leo predeceased, Raymond predeceased (Doris), Richard (Marie), Joseph (Theresa), Theresa (William Hannon), Harold (Bonnie predeceased), George (Bonnie predeceased), Donald (Joan predeceased) and Ronald. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill had a real green thumb for African Violets. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Team. He was a retired INCO smelter worker. Bill loved spending time with his family and share singing his “Newfie” songs. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin District or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated. A Private Family prayer service will be held at the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
