In loving memory of Gerald “Gerry” Joseph Duguay, 80 years old (June 7, 1940 – June 6, 2021). Gerry passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at Extendicare York, Sudbury, ON after a lengthy battle with several illnesses. Gerry was the beloved husband of Sandra Seniuk (nee Miller) and predeceased by his previous wife Nancy Duguay (nee Farquhar) in 1993. A loving father of Angele Lapierre, a cherished grandfather of Joel & Alexander Lapierre and great granddaughter of Adelaide Lapierre. Dear stepfather of David Potter, Charles Parkinson (Candace) & Barbara-Ann Davies (Will) and dear step-grandfather to Olivia and Allison Davies. Loving son of Edmond and Clothilde Duguay both predeceased. Loving brother of Aurele Duguay and Therese Arseneau. Gerry is predeceased by his brothers and sisters; Mederic Duguay, Alfred Duguay, Bertha Knuutila, Gabrielle Duclos, and Donald Duguay. Sadly, missed by many nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Gerry was a crane operator at INCO, retiring in 1999 with 35 years service. He was a volunteer with St. John Ambulance. Gerry loved New Brunswick and the east coast life of where he grew up in Saint-Isidore. Gerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting the casino. He loved spending his summers at the trailer surrounded by many friends who always got a wave as they went by. He loved to laugh and joke around. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends both near and far. The family expresses their appreciation to the 4th Floor Staff at Extendicare York for their excellent care and support.
