In loving memory of Italia Caporale (nee Luciani) who passed away on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Vincenzo Caporale predeceased 2016. Loving mother of Vanda Carbone (Aldo), Mario (Lise) and Grace Sirkka (Mike). Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Chris), Melissa, Talya (Peter), Vincent and great grandchild Ava, Leo, Savannah and Josie. Dear sister of Iolanda Contini (Raffaele) both predeceased. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Born in Fossacesia, Italy, she married the love of her life Vincenzo on August 7th, 1951. Mom had a great passion for knitting and crocheting. Many charities and churches in Sudbury were recipients of her wonderful creations. Cooking for her family and friends was a treat for her. Mom was proud to be surrounded at the table by her family and grandchildren whom she absolutely adored. Having endured the war in Italy, life came with its many struggles. She came to Canada with her husband and child to make a better life for her family. Mom worked incredibly hard both in the home and at her workplace. Her strength and determination made her a strong person and she fought to the very end. We would like to thank the staff a Pioneer Manor for taking great care of “Bella Bella”. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Family funeral mass at Christ the King Church, 30 Beech Street, Sudbury on Monday, June 7th, 2021 at 11am.
