In loving memory of John James Anton Marr 64 years. Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31st, 2021 at Health Sciences North with his family by his side. Loving husband of Karen Marr (nee Vandewiel). Proud father of Michael and Nichole, grandfather of Rinn, Ashlyn, and Giovanni, and great grandpa to little John. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Marr (nee Clarin). Cherished brother of Colleen and Karen. John was born in Nakina, Ontario on July 26th, 1956. He had an exciting career as a train conductor for 35 years. He lived a full happy life, and loved spending time with his many friends and family. He will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff, nurses, doctors and PSW’s at Health Sciences North – especially the 4th floor north tower for their care and kindness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 3pm at the Lougheed Funeral Home, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel. Friends may gather after 2pm Saturday. Masks are mandatory. He will be buried in the family plot in Nakina, Ontario. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
