Obituary for Velma Geraldine Toppazzini (Jarvis)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Velma “Tiny” Toppazzini (nee Jarvis) on Monday, May 31st, 2021 at Extendicare York at the age of 90 years. Daughter of John and Evelyn Jarvis both predeceased. She is predeceased in 1986 by her beloved husband Bruno.
She leaves behind her children Graham (Lynn) of Val Caron and Louise (Tom Rummel) of St. Thomas, her grandchildren Shawn, Michael, Samantha and Christopher predeceased. Great grandmother of 6 grandchildren. Dear sister of Laurie (Judy), Bill (Gloria), Jim (Marilynn) and Graham (Frances) all of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her siblings Lester (Lois also predeceased), Leo (Peggy), Jackie (June), Dorothy, Ruby, Lorraine, Lillian, Marion, Opal, Harry, Ernest, and Gloria all of Nova Scotia. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Terri of Shallow Lake, Ontario.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, knitting, quilting and spending time with her loved ones and friends. We would like to thank Extendicare York for the great care they provided to her. Mom you will always live in our hearts because you gave us many happy moments in this life.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial alongside her husband in the Lasalle Cemetery. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
