Obituary for Rosalia "Rose" Paull (Tisch)

Our Mama and Oma Rosalia “Rose” Paull (nee Tisch) passed away on May 28th, 2021. She was born in Ciacova, Romania on September 13th, 1921 to Franz and Eva Tisch. She was predeceased by her much loved husband Adam Paull on December 22nd, 1984.
She was dearly loved by her three children, Rainer (Francine), Helga (William Dopson), and Hertha (Chris Corry). Special Oma to Tara (Marc Levesque), Megan (Shawn Willick) and Danielle (Bryan Stephens) as well as four great grandchildren Adam and Emma Willick and Eliane and Marielle Levesque and soon to be born baby Stephens. Rose leaves behind her brother Peter Tisch (Alice) and was predeceased by her brother Frank Tisch (Margaret).
Our mom and dad were both forced to flee their home during WWII. It was in a refugee camp in Austria where they met and after a period they moved to England and were married there. They immigrated to Canada in 1951. Eventually our parents settled in Sudbury and after working briefly in the mines, our father and his partner began Northern Bottling and then The Pop Shoppe. Our mom was considered as our dad’s partner and we have no doubt that she was an excellent sounding board in helping him make decisions.
Our biggest thanks must be given to each and every staff member in High Falls at St. Gabriel’s Villa. We had peace of mind knowing our mom was being well cared for. We would like to give special thanks to the special angels that cared for “Rosie” during the day, who we came to regard as family.
They will be missed as well, Many thanks and big hugs to Chantal, Chantel, Diane, Linda, and Lucille. During our overnight stays for mom’s last five days, we witnessed the same compassion from the staff on the afternoon and night shifts. Angels were on duty 24-7 in High Falls. Our family feel a huge loss now that our incredibly special Mama and much loved Oma is no longer with us. She provided us with wonderful memories to help us through this difficult time, and we are so thankful for that.
