Obituary for Pete
In loving memory of Pierre “Pete” Grenier, 93 years. Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at Au Chateau Nursing Home, Sturgeon Falls. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Ducharme) Grenier predeceased 2014. Loving father of Claude (Susan), Morris (Claudette), Edward (Janet), Shirley Moroz, Paulette Carriere, Paul (Julie) both predeceased, and Henry (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Lisa, Jason, Shawn, Jan, Brigette, Sherry, Pamela, Selina, Blake, Cindy, Tashia and many great-grandchildren. Dear son of Eusebe and Anita Grenier both predeceased. Dear brother of Conrad (Ireen), Larry (Sue), Cyril (Estelle), Malvina, Jeannine (Reg), Simone (Charlie), Carl (Joanne), Robert (Betty), Helen and the late André, Anita, John, Roger, and Patricia, all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Pete was born and raised in Markstay. He married Jeanne (Ducharme) in 1950 in Lavigne. He was a retired signal maintainer with the CPR, having 40 years of service. Pete enjoyed the outdoors.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. At Pete’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with entombment at the Civic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, www.lougheedfuneralhomes.com.
