Dr. Sahadat was a wonderful professor and he was very kind to my wife and I while we attended Laurentian in the early 2000s. His passion and support for teaching and his students still rings true today. You made the world a better place John. Rest well.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know John while living at the University of Sudbury Residence 30 years ago. He was a positive roll model, a true gentleman, and I am very proud to say that I considered him to be a friend. He will be greatly missed.

John was my mentor at the University of Sudbury for the Lucien Matte Residence. He loved time spent with his students and they loved him. He was attentive, a great listener and offered superb guidance to his students and to me. I cherish his knowledge and his wisdom. He always encouraged me to be the best of me. Through great times and in difficult times, he always taught me new things.
I am grateful to have had worked with him at UofS, those years were amazing and I will miss my mentor dearly. Watch over us John, I hope to continue making your proud of UofS whether to the east, west, north or south, UofS is the best.....those are your words....
